This is the topic of the seminar planned in Rabat for the next 28th of May by Moroccan adoptive families' association Osraty, group member (and regional secretariat) of the international network Il Melograno (The Pomegranade). The event is the final appointment of an important project carried out by the association supported by UNDP to make aware public opinion on adoption as answer to the problem of out-of-family children.
Kafala is the Islamic protection system of children without parental care which allows singles and couples taking under protection a child until 18 years old without establishing anyway a complete filial relation.
The day will be an occasion to talk together with local public authorities about Moroccan laws concerning kafala, adoptive parents' concerns, and State's initiatives in order to improve more and more the protection system of out-of-family children through Kafala.
